For folks who tend to get a lot of emails on Mondays or Fridays and would prefer to deal with them throughout the week, snooze is ideal. Yes, that means an email you snooze will simply pop back up in your inbox when you want it to, as though it's a fresh email. "When you try to snooze an email, Gmail gives you the option to resurface it later in the day, tomorrow, later this week, on the weekend or next week," TechCrunch explained. But when the update arrives in your account, you'll also see a snooze option. According to TechCrunch, now when you hover over an email (without clicking into it!), you'll see the usual bevy of options, including archive, delete, and mark as read. Either that, or you let emails you mean to reply to pile up in your inbox, and then inbox zero becomes but a distant memory. If you have a high-traffic email account, you probably already make use of Gmail's labeling and sorting features, and you probably have a "get to it later" folder for all the emails you mean to reply to. Snooze is, to put it completely non-dramatically, a freaking godsend for people who have busy inboxes. So, here's the lowdown on the Gmail snooze feature and what exactly you'll be able to do with it once the rollout hits your account. The feature however, does not prompt users to upload any attachment on the self-addressed mail to Google Drive.Google is officially rolling out its Gmail overhaul today, bringing users a dramatic revamp of the email client's look, along with new features, including confidential mode, which will allow users to send "self-destructing" emails, and a snooze feature, which didn't get quite as much press back when details about the overhaul began to emerge. The firm also added the option to quickly access Contacts on the Web with a new option in the sidebar.Įarlier this week, Google added a small little feature that gives users a small pop-up on the screen suggesting that they should create an Inbox Reminder instead, when it recognises users mailing some content to themselves. Users can set custom morning, afternoon, and evening Snooze times along with existing Snooze options from when the app was launched last year. In April, Google introduced custom Snooze options in Inbox by Gmail. The card also gives option to remind users 1 hour before the event, or let them pick the date and time accordingly. On selecting the Snooze option, users would see a "Snooze until." card giving options like this evening, tommorow, next week, or someday. This one-tap option can be seen in emails dealing with restaurant and event reservations, calendar invites, flight confirmations, hotel reservations, and rental car reservations. Users now have a one-tap option to snooze the mails on the right time and date. The Snooze option in Inbox by Gmail would now let users snooze an email to exactly the right time and date - like the day of the concert or the morning user's package will arrive. The feature is for those emails which are time-sensitive. Inbox by Gmail got the custom Snooze options back in April, and now Google has added another useful Snooze-related feature with the latest update.
